Teen Gothic

Recently I’ve been listening to more Bloody Dead and Sexy, This Cold Night, The Naked and The Dead, and some Corpus Delicti. Amazing bands in my opinion but does anyone have any suggestions to broaden my horizon’s?

Every week people come here expecting me to write something fun as an intro to the post. Well this week I'm not doing it!

I am not going to write something about venting more steam than the sulphur pits of Satan as he sits dressed in stained satin with his right hand man Stan. Nor will I ask what is grinding your bats this week. And I am definitely not going to suggest screaming into the void to see if the void screams back…

…

Oh crap.

Anyone have a favorite Spotify playlist that they particularly enjoy? Doesn’t have to be one of your own, but something you really enjoy.

Here’s mine: essential goth

I never really liked Christian Death and Sex Gang Children. Both bands' singers' vocals are terrible IMO (especially Andi's). SGC also has some weird sound that doesn't vibe with me really.

Never got into Nick Cave's music, though he has some cool songs featured in different movies and series. I don't listen to them on purpose though.

Tried to get into Lacrimosa's darkwave albums, didn't like it at all. Neither their metal albums. In any case, it's gothic metal, not goth rock.

What about you? Which goth artists you don't like, dislike or even hate? (please be civil and tolerant 🙂 )

I'm looking for goth songs with samples of Alan Watts talking, does anyone know of any? Or samples of other philosophers in goth music?
